Adult classes for the school year 2025-2026

The Egg Level classes (A1):
The following classes are offered in French and Spanish and are for beginners.
Upon passing the Egg level (general or specialty), you will receive your first graduation certificate from Butterfly Language School.
If you wish to continue learning, you are encouraged to enroll in the Caterpillar level.

Doctor Boo boo, sí, dígame...

This class is for healthcare personnel such as physicians, nurses, and all individuals involved in direct patient care.
You will learn how to understand and ask basic questions and responses commonly used during routine medical appointments or in emergency situations. This class is currently offered in Spanish only.

A link of boudin or A link of chorizo

This class is stuffed with 101 French or Spanish, fun, and business terms.
While other language schools will expect you to reach a certain command of a language, we will introduce you to the business world right away, making a super-efficient class for your job!

On the Geaux

This class is for anyone working in the tourism and hospitality fields. Whether you work at a hotel or you wait tables, this class is perfect for you!
People who would like to learn French or Spanish for their personal or business tourism trips are also welcome.

‘Throw me somethin’

This is your emblematic ‘Laissez les bons temps rouler’ class for people who want to learn French/Spanish for leisure and are not in too much in a hurry but still want to get somethin’.

Lagniappe

This French/Spanish evening class is your general foundational course with a little surprise for hard workers like a complimentary drink or snack.

Gumbo

This is your lagniappe evening class combined with a link of boudin/chorizo class.

The Caterpillar Level classes (A2):
The following classes are available to students who have already done some self-study or hold a certificate for the egg level (A1).

The Caterpillar

This is your level 2 general French/Spanish class.

The Chrysallis Level classes (B1):
The following classes are available to students who hold proof of an intermediate low command of the language or a certificate for the Caterpillar level (A2).

The Chrysallis

This class is perfect for students who were in French immersion or studied French as a second language a while ago and still have a good command of the language but lack practice. We will work on vocabulary, grammar and conjugation while discussing contemporary topics to prepare you for the Metamorphosis level.
Schedule will be determined based on demand.
Class can be offered in Spanish based on demand.
